Role: Responsible for performing blood draws, specimen collection, labeling, centrifuging, and managing specimen storage in accordance with established procedures.
Key Duties: Explain procedures to patients courteously, ensure accuracy in labeling and documentation, handle specimens carefully, and package samples for transport. Maintain compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations, attend training, and assist with inquiries by reading laboratory results.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid phlebotomy certification as required, minimum 6 months' experience in venipuncture within a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Additional: Troubleshoot, provide training, and make workflow recommendations to improve efficiency.
